# Drop-off site

A yard trimmings drop-off site is a public location where residents leave brush and branches to be composted or mulched, such as Hamilton County's three sites.

Hamilton County ReSource says the county has three public drop-off sites for yard trimmings. They give residents an option beyond community curbside programs. All material collected there is composted or mulched and does not end up in the landfill.

The county's size limits matter if you cut a tree. Brush and tree branches must be cut no longer than 4 feet and be no larger than 12 inches in diameter. They must also be bundled, and bundles must not be heavier than 50 pounds. A whole stump does not fit these limits. See [yard waste](https://cincystump.multisites.ai/glossary/yard-waste) and [wood chips](https://cincystump.multisites.ai/glossary/wood-chips).
