Yard waste

Yard waste is leaves, grass and small branches collected apart from trash. Cincinnati lists logs or stumps thicker than 6 inches among items its collection does not take.

The City of Cincinnati collects yard waste every other week from April through the second week of January, on the same day as recycling. Yard waste goes in paper bags or labeled containers. Bags and containers over 25 pounds are not collected. Branches may be bundled in lengths of no more than 3 feet.

The city's page lists logs or stumps thicker than 6 inches in diameter among items that are not accepted with yard waste. A ground-out stump leaves wood chips that you may need a plan for. See yard trimmings drop-off site and the post on what Cincinnati yard waste pickup won't take.
