Private utility line
A private utility line is a buried line owned by the property owner, such as power to a shed or lamppost, which OHIO811 says may not be marked.
OHIO811 says private utility lines are owned by the property owner and often run from your house to individual systems and structures on your property. Its examples include downspout drain lines, electric lines to a shed or lamppost, septic lines, and well or pond lines.
OHIO811 also says service lines and private lines may not be located without contacting a private locating company. Public marking through OHIO811 may not cover them. Marking a private line is the owner's job, whoever does the digging. A grinder cuts below the surface, so know what is underneath. See OHIO811, Kentucky 811 and locate ticket.
