It is designed to reduce damage to buried utilities and promote safe digging across the state. Kentucky 811 says Kentucky's Underground Facility Damage Prevention law requires everyone who digs to contact it at least two full business days before breaking ground. This page does not say how that applies to stump grinding. See the guide on whether you need to call 811 for stump grinding. Compare OHIO811 for Ohio and locate ticket.
